My Solo Traveling Trip

MY 2013 SOLO TRAVELING TRIP (KUALA LUMPUR-SINGAPORE)

JOURNEY:

Flight from Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 3) to Singapore (Changi International Airport Terminal 1) by Airasia, 1,5hrs, IDR 165,000 (Airfare: IDR 102,000, Fuel Surcharge: 48,000, plus Processing Fee: 15,000, No-frills airline).

Flight from Singapore (Changi International Airport Terminal 1) to Kuala Lumpur (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) by Jetstar, 1hr10min, SGD38 (IDR 309,810), No-frills airline. But I ended up paying massive fee for excess luggage :( SGD60 (IDR 485,965). Lesson learned: Checked luggage pre-booked online is cheaper than paying for it at the airport

Flight from Kuala Lumpur (LCCT) to Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport) by Airasia, 2hrs, MYR63 (Airfare: MYR0, Airport Tax: MYR32, Fuel Surcharge: MYR26, plus Processing Fee: MYR5. No-frills airline). Plus MYR54.7 (IDR 177,575) for pre-booked add on luggage.

ACCOMODATION:

MALAYSIA, KUALA LUMPUR, MYR99 (~ IDR 312,722)/2 nights. 1st night MYR11 (Promo Fare), 2^nd night MYR88. A single-bed room with aircon, LCD TV, hot shower and private bathroom, no window.

Kuala Lumpur, Apple Hotel (2013, Mar 9-11)

Good afternoon from Kuala Lumpur.

This is a room tour.

Welcome to my box of a room. It's 10 meters square. So this is my bed. It's tiny but it fits me just nice.

All my belongings on the bed.

Suitcase on the floor.

My headboard.

And that's the door in front of me.

Oh, and the shower box.

But I'm happy staying in this place.

Kuala Lumpur, IPC Shopping Center (2013, Mar 10)

For those who plan to go to IKEA/IKANO POWER CENTRE from KL Sentral, the cheapest way is to take the LRT from KL Sentral to Kelana Jaya LRT Station. The LRT fare from KL Sentral to Kelana Jaya is RM2.10. There is a free shuttle bus to pick you up from KELANA Jaya LRT to IKEA Damansara. The bus stop is opposite Kelana Jaya LRT station. You need to cross the bridge at the station. You may check the shuttle bus schedule at at IKEA Website.
