Though I love the freedom of solo travel, I always consider an absolute bonus to have someone show me around a foreign destination on my first day there. Sometimes it's another fellow travelers sharing their traveling tips online. Other times it's a hostel receptionist who will be showing me the fastest way to reach my next destination...
