Grand Inna Medan (2019, Oct 3-6)

What do I make of this hotel?
At Rp. 637.105,- Run of House deal for 3 nights from Agoda, this hotel is quite a steal. There's some room for my comfort range as far as finances, and I'm sure I'll find some way to spend the rest of my budget. I'm always a nervous Nellie, to the point of difficult to sleep at night, so I need a good place to pacify my mind.

Night walking is not my kind of fun, especially in a rather Bronx-ish city as Medan. That's why I need a decent place to crush in and spend time in. However this hotel somewhat fails me. Gives me some kind of eerie feeling, especially on a rainy night as this. It seems this part of the hotel is stuck in a 19th century time warp.

Despite the price, I don't think I'll return in the future. To me, it feels like a one and done. It's just not gonna fly. Here's why.

A very olde-worlde dirty looking room.

I am shooken indeed!!!

Such room condition is below my par. I'm gonna have to try to figure out what I can, and  figure it out fast, or I'm gonna go in the hole.

Actually this vintage part of the hotel has great potential but needs to iron out some kinks in its service.
