I always love HongKong, the people especially, The HongKong Hospitality. Through fusion with Chinese indigenous value, as well as international elements, it becomes something that's uniquely HongKong, yet Chinese. While the Mainlanders never cease to startle me with their attitude, with HongKongers, I feel more at ease. HongKong has a very traditional Chinese culture, and at the same time is a British colony for 156 years. Being educated in the colonial era, and then largely followed the global standard, made HongKongers who they are today. So, its truly a great east-meets-west model. In a word, Hongkongers are Chinese, yet cosmopolitan, the traits which set them apart from their Greater Bay Area (Guangdong - Hongkong- Macao)

The local dialect is Cantonese. That is a very core composition of the local identity, but it's not an exclusive concept. Here, Chinese and western culture can co-exist.
