Marking George Town & Street Art, Day 1: The Waterfront & Business District (2014, June 24)

BUSINESS DISTRICT
Take a stroll through the traditional business district of George Town where many international banks still operate to this day. From the grand old stone building that houses Standard Chartered to the recently restored Logan's Heritage and Whiteaways Arcade, the Pinang Peranakan Museum, a mecca for Peranakan history and Little India to name a few sites of interest, this part of George Town retains many examples of fine architecture that makes George Town a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

THE WATERFRONT
Once the heart of George Town's trading port, the sites that dot the waterfront of George Town reads like a where's where of colonial history. Choose from the iconic Fort Cornwallis to the majestic colonial buildings of the Town Hall and City Hall, from the old Custom's Building to Convent Light Street. The waterfront is perfect for the intrepid explorer to discover the colonial past of George Town.
