Ratchaburi, Elephant Camp (2012, Mar 17)

Here comes the 2nd stop of the day... the elephant ride in somewhere nearby Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. I have no idea of the name of the place... Elephant Camp maybe. Guess that's the beauty of joining a tour group, huh? All you have to do is tailing your tour guide wherever she goes. And I heard it was around THB 500-600 for a 30 mins single ride and thought it was a bit expensive... Actually it was not THAT expensive compare to the elephant ride in Bali. However I was just not in the mood to ride on an elephant in broad daylight... so I'd pass on this one.

However you could still interact with the mammals by feeding them as they slowly passing by you. A basket of bananas was up for grab for THB 100 per basket. How fascinating watching the huge nosey mammal reaching out to you with its proboscis and munching on the bananas in one gulp.

And there's always a resting area for us while waiting for the rest of the group members who were having fun with their elephant rides and we could freshen up a bit before heading to the next stop... THE COBRA SHOW...

For THB 100, you got a bunch of bananas to feed the elephants. That's as close as you could get.

Poor Starving Dumbo
It was a bit scary when she reached out to you, especially when she blowed air out of her trunk at the same time. It was an amazing feeling nonetheless. "How can a giant be so gentle?"
Banana... Yeay

THB 100 worth of bananas wouldn't last long. It was all gone in one gulp.
