Yangshuo county 陽朔縣 is a county in Guilin, Guangxi Province, China. It
is located in the northeastern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and
southeastern Guilin City. It borders Gongcheng County and Pingle County
to the east, Lipu County to the south, Yongfu County and Lingui County
to the west, and Lingchuan County and Yanshan District to the north. The
little town of Yangshuo, which is 65 kilometers (40 miles) from Guilin
City, is an internationally acclaimed tourist destination. Clean quiet
streets of Yangshuo make this little town one of China top biking
places.
We stayed at Cape Hope Hotel, a small local hotel next
to the Li River and one hundred meters to the famous West street. It's
about three hundred meters to YangShuo bus station and to Yangshuo gas
station where we caught our sleeper-bus to Shenzhen. The hotel rate is
CNY 180 for riverview room 江景房标间 and CNY 150 for deluxe room 豪华标间.

The beer-braised Fish 啤酒魚, the signature dish of Yangshuo. I saw one resto across my hotel room
that provides the famous dish, but I happened to taste it on my lunch near Moon
Hill. Another popular delicacy of Guilin is rice noodle 桂林米粉 which has been the local breakfast staple since the Qin dynasty and
are renowned for their delicate taste.
